Longwood Pediatrics is the medical home for all our patients. As a medical home we work as a team and collaborate with all our patients’ providers to deliver comprehensive care to our patients. We have an experienced staff of Physicians and Nurse Practitioners. All of our Physicians are Board Certified in Pediatrics and all are Nurse Practitioners are ANCC certified in Pediatrics.

John P. Cloherty, M.D.
Dr. Cloherty’s practice is open to new siblings of his current patients, but is closed to transfers/new patients.
Dr. Cloherty graduated from Boston University School of Medicine in 1962 and completed his pediatric residency training at Massachusetts General Hospital. He was a General Medical Officer in the United States Navy from 1963-1967. Dr. Cloherty joined Longwood Pediatrics in 1969 and also practices Neonatology part-time at Children’s Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

Amy L. Ryan, M.D.
Dr. Ryan’s practice is open to new siblings of her current patients, but is closed to transfers/new patients.
Dr. Ryan graduated from Harvard Medical School in 1984. She completed her pediatric residency training at Children’s Hospital Boston and also received fellowship training in Ambulatory Pediatrics. Dr. Ryan has practiced at Longwood Pediatrics since 1988.

Robert S. Michaels, M.D.
Dr. Michaels’ practice is open to new siblings of his current patients, but is closed to transfers/new patients.
Dr. Michaels graduated from Harvard Medical School in 1977 and completed his pediatric residency training at Children’s Hospital Boston. He has practiced at Longwood Pediatrics since 1990.

Gregory J. F. Young, M.D.
Dr. Young’s practice is open to new siblings of his current patients, but is closed to transfers/new patients.
Dr.Young graduated from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1987. He completed his pediatric residency training and served as Chief Resident at Children’s Hospital Boston in 1991. That year, he joined Longwood Pediatrics. Dr. Young is also President of the Pediatric Physicians’ Organization at Children’s Hospital.

Louis Vernacchio, M.D., M.Sc.
Dr. Vernacchio’s practice is open to new siblings of his current patients, but is closed to transfers/new patients.
Dr. Vernacchio graduated from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 1993 and received his pediatric residency training at Children’s Hospital Boston. He also completed a research fellowship in Pediatric Epidemiology and currently spends a portion of his time performing clinical research. He has practiced at Longwood Pediatrics since 1996.

Eleanor R. Menzin, M.D.
Dr. Menzin is currently accepting newborns and new siblings of her current patients, but is closed to transfers/new patients.
Dr. Menzin graduated from University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in 1998. She completed her pediatric residency training at Children’s Hospital Boston and joined Longwood Pediatrics in 2001. Dr. Menzin speaks fluent Spanish.

Kristie A. Koppenheffer, M.D.
Dr. Koppenheffer’s practice is open to new siblings of her current patients, but is closed to transfers/new patients.
Dr. Koppenheffer graduated from University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2003. She completed her pediatric residency training at Children’s Hospital Boston and Boston Medical Center through the Boston Combined Residency Program in Pediatrics. Dr. Koppenheffer joined Longwood Pediatrics in 2006.

Elizabeth H. Binney, M.D.
Dr. Binney’s practice is closed to new/transfer patients, but is open to new siblings of her current patients.
Dr. Binney graduated from George Washington School of Medicine in 1991. She completed her pediatric residency training at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Dr. Binney has practiced primary-care pediatrics in the Boston area since 1994 and joined Longwood Pediatrics in 2007.

Daniel F. O’Connor, M.D.
Dr. O’Connor is accepting newborns & new siblings of his current patients, but is closed to transfers/new patients.
Dr. O’Connor graduated from Boston University School of Medicine in 2000. He completed his pediatric residency at Children’s Hospital Boston and Boston Medical Center and served as a Pediatrician in the United States Army in Texas and Iraq from 2003-2007. Dr. O’Connor joined Longwood Pediatrics in August 2007.

Margaret W. Manion, M.D.
Dr. Manion is currently accepting newborns and new siblings of her current patients, but is closed to transfers/new patients.
Dr. Manion graduated from Mount Sinai School of Medicine, City University of New York in 1987. She completed her pediatric residency and served as Chief Resident at The Floating Hospital at New England Medical Center. Dr. Manion has practiced primary-care pediatrics in the Boston area since 1991 and came to Longwood Pediatrics in 2008.
Tim Schuettge, L.I.C.S.W, M.P.H.

Mr. Schuettge received his Masters in Social Work from Boston University in 1979 and also obtained a Masters in Public Health from Harvard University School of Public Health, with an emphasis on Maternal and Child Health. He joined Longwood Pediatrics in 2002 and assists in the management of children with behavioral or mental health issues.

Corinne Arrighini, P.N.P.

Mrs. Arrighini completed her pediatric nurse practitioner training at Boston College in 1995 and joined Longwood Pediatrics that same year. She is ANCC certified as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner

Nancy Buchwald, P.N.P.

Mrs. Buchwald completed her pediatric nurse practitioner training at Massachusetts General Hospital in 1995. She joined Longwood Pediatrics in 1998. She is ANCC certified as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.

Joan McMenemy, P.N.P.

Ms. McMenemy completed her pediatric nurse practitioner training at Boston College in 1996 and joined Longwood Pediatrics in 1997. She also works part-time in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital. She is ANCC certified as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner .

Damarys J. Caicedo, P.N.P.

Mrs. Caicedo completed her pediatric nurse practitioner training at Massachusetts General Hospital in 1996 and joined Longwood Pediatrics in 1999. Mrs. Caicedo speaks fluent Spanish. Mrs Caicedo is the travel nurse at Longwood Pediatrics. She is ANCC certified as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.

Kristine A. Pereira, P.N.P.

Ms. Pereira completed her pediatric nurse practitioner training at Massachusetts General Hospital in 2005. She has worked at Longwood Pediatrics since 2003. Ms. Pereira speaks fluent Portuguese. She is ANCC certified as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.
