COVID Testing Sites

By using the following link you will be able to find COVID testing sites in your area:

https://memamaps.maps.arcgis.com/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=eba3f0395451430b9f631cb095febf13&fbclid=IwAR0DetRJhInH_DDLc5GbMHnu-IgR9v3gwVEIf6–PlWd5l8saM9ri4Rf1hg

The website will ask for your location, in addition you can select specific criteria (i.e. referral not required, accepts MassHealth, tests children, free testing for uninsured etc.) to help your search.

If you find a place and it requires an order from us, you can call our office and we can set up a virtual visit so we create an order for you. You will then be able to print this from MyChart or we can fax the order to the fax number you supply to us. We encourage families to call the site before going so you can find out more information and the turnaround time for results. Some places are taking more than 7 days for results to come back.

There is a rapid (molecular nucleic acid rapid test-FDA approved) test, but not all sites have this type of test available. The other type of rapid test offered is the antigen test. Molecular tests include either the rapid molecular nucleic acid test or the PCR tests and are found to be the most reliable.  It is important to note that some insurance companies might not pay for these tests if you are asymptomatic. Some schools might require a PCR test, so make sure to check with your child’s school before getting testing.
