Professional History

Rachel Budhi, LICSW, was born in Indonesia and moved to the US when she was 12-years-old. She pursued her Bachelor's in Psychology in Gordon College, and her Master of Social work at Simmons University. She joined Needham Pediatrics in April 2025. Rachel has experience working in Pediatrics Behavioral Health, community outreach working with various severe mental health diagnoses, working in a school setting, as well as outpatient therapy working with children, adolescents and adults.

Rachel's role in Needham Pediatrics is to provide assessments, parent coaching, and counseling sessions for various mental health struggles; including, but not limited to — navigating symptoms of anxiety and depression, emotional regulation, executive functioning skills to navigate ADHD challenges, difficulties adjusting to new situations (new school, relationships, friendships, etc.), or other expected and unexpected life challenges. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out to your pediatrician about behavioral health services.

Outside of the office, Rachel enjoys exercising, going on long walks outside, paddle boarding and swimming, watching anime, supporting Boston sports teams, and going to local concerts.

My goal is to treat patients from a strength-based and empathic holistic approach. By listening carefully and being fully attuned, I advocate and create a safe non-judgmental space for patients and their families. I provide resources and tools to support them to build emotional resiliency in order to manage crisis, overcome barriers, and promote growth.
