Dr. Katherine Shearer attended Boston College for her undergraduate education majoring in Biology and taking part in the Honors Program. She attended the University of Iowa for medical school and residency. She worked in private practice as a general pediatrician in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, at Unity Point Pediatrics for four years. Dr. Shearer joined Longwood Pediatrics in 2020.

I aspire to provide exceptional care to all of my patients within an accepting and nurturing environment. Building relationships with families based on trust and respect is a foundation of my practice. I believe in the power of patient education and shared decision making to help achieve this goal. I strive to treat each patient as if they are my own child.
